Cosmetic piercing, tattooing and acupuncture

If you wish to carry out any form of piercing you and your premises where you will practice must be registered with the District Council. It is illegal to carry out piercing without both yourself and the premises being registered.

Once registered as an individual for the purposes of Cosmetic Piercing you will be able to practice at any premises in the Derbyshire Dales that are also registered for the purpose.

Cosmetic piercing cannot be carried out at a premises in Derbyshire Dales that is not also registered for the purpose.

You must be able to comply with the Council's By-Laws before your premises will be registered.

How to apply for a registration for your premises and/or yourself

You will need to complete an application form for the premises and a separate application for each person that requires being registered. You will need to quote the cash code to the Customer Services Team member - this is 9154.
