Sign up for our Summer Saver Membership on Hall Leys Park. From Monday 21st July to Sunday 7th September you can play up to 2 hours per week on the tennis courts for £30! Barclays Local Tennis Leagues
Barclays Local Tennis Leagues are mixed leagues across for the country for adults of all standards. The aim of the leagues is to provide friendly, competitive tennis on a court near you. Here in Matlock we have mixed Doubles league. To find out more visit our Clubspark Page
Rusty Rackets
We deliver our Rusty Rackets sessions in Matlock at Hall Leys Park. During these times the tennis courts are unavailable for use. These sessions are perfect for anyone who is new to tennis or who wants to get back into tennis. We have a coach on hand to help you with the basics and to improve your game whilst also having a fun and social game of tennis.
Included is racket hire but you are welcome to bring your own racket too.
- Tuesday 10am - 11am - £4 (Match Play - experienced regular players)
- Wednesdays 10am - 11am - £4 (Skills & practice - suitable for beginners)

How to Book a Tennis Court
- Register on LTA website as an LTA member (this is free).
- Matlock Hall Leys Park Tennis Courts (refurbished in 2023) Cost £6 per court per hour to hire. - These courts are gated.
- Ashbourne Recreation Ground Tennis Courts are open April - October and are free to use (but please book to show how much they are used). These courts have open access.
- Bakewell Courts are currently (28th July 2025) closed for 10 weeks for refurbishment (This refurbishment is fully funded by the LTA).
