Household Waste Recycling Centres
There are four sites within and near to the Derbyshire Dales;
- Harrison Way, Northwood, Darley Dale (DE4 2LF)
- Mayfield Road, Ashbourne (DE6 2BJ)
- Sheffield Road, Chesterfield (S41 7LF)
- Waterswallows, Buxton (SK17 7BJ)
The above sites are open 7 days a week (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day). The sites at Ashbourne, Chesterfield and Northwood sites are open 9.30am to 5pm. The Buxton site is open 8.30am to 6pm. Derbyshire County Council run the centres. They are for items of waste from your house which may be too large or bulky to go in your normal waste collection. You can also take extra household waste. There is no charge for disposing of most types of waste at these centres.
